How To Transfer AI Image Styles From Midjourney To Flux

Midjourney has billions of fantastic styles, and it would be a shame not to use them in other models! I’ll pick a style to transfer to the Flux model and generate images in the Midjourney style using Flux!

Style transfer between models is an incredible tool and an easy way to create intriguing images that would otherwise be unattainable in Flux alone. Of course, we won’t be able to transfer a style that looks identical in both Midjourney and Flux, as they’re entirely different models. However, the essence of our Midjourney style will still be evident in Flux.

Here’s an example: the first portrait is created in Midjourney’s style, and the second one is generated in Flux with the transferred Midjourney style. Pretty similar, right?

To transfer a style from Midjourney, you’ll need to choose one first. My expanding style catalog will help you with that:

Best Midjourney SREF Styles

These don’t necessarily have to be styles created with SREF codes; you can also transfer an artist's style or one crafted by yourself using well-chosen keywords or reference images. However, using SREF codes is usually the easiest way.

We need to start the entire process by preparing at least 20 images in our chosen style. I personally use 25 images to have a bit more variety to choose from. You can use more images to improve the style quality, but it does take more time. Usually, 25 is enough.

It's immediately clear that the style tends to generate portraits and is good at it, so I’ll keep it that way and add in the description that it’s mainly suitable for portraits. Different styles have different preferences, and this one is evidently inclined to create portraits of girls and women.

We’ll be creating a universal model for generating a variety of images, so you’ll need images on diverse themes. If you wanted to create a model specifically for generating portraits in your style, you’d need 25 different portraits.

Since we want to create a range of different subjects, we’ll need a broad cross-section of themes, from portraits to animals to architecture. I’ve prepared a cheat sheet with prompts for Midjourney that will give us a range of images on different topics. Load the following set of prompts into Midjourney for the selected style:
