ChatGPT allows for simple manipulations on uploaded images. These don’t have to be AI-generated images from DALL-E; they can be any images or photographs. Of course, ChatGPT is not a graphic design program, so it won’t replace professional image editing. However, with scripts, it can quickly modify an image when you don’t have access to a graphic design tool. For example, you can use it to slightly warm up a photo.

Applying an RGB tint with controlled blending is a popular technique in image editing to create unique visual effects or evoke specific moods in digital imagery. This process involves layering a semi-transparent color over the image and blending it with the original content to achieve subtle or dramatic changes in the image's tone.

Applying a warm RGB tint to the image can be considered a fundamental aspect of color grading. While color grading encompasses a broader and more precise range of adjustments, tinting serves as a simple and effective way to modify the overall tone and mood of an image. This technique can act as a starting point for more detailed grading processes or stand alone as a minimalistic enhancement.

To implement this adjustment, the first step is defining the tint color, which consists of red, green, and blue components. These values determine the overall hue and warmth of the tint. For this specific edit, the chosen values (255, 200, 150) lean towards a soft orange shade, contributing to a warm and inviting aesthetic. Additionally, a blending intensity of 20% was selected. This level of transparency ensures the original details and colors remain visible while still introducing a noticeable shift in the tonal quality.

The blending process is critical to achieving the desired effect. By combining the original image with a semi-transparent overlay, the colors merge harmoniously, creating a balanced result. The alpha channel, which determines the transparency of the tint layer, plays a pivotal role in maintaining the image's clarity while subtly modifying its atmosphere.
